so today were doing stuff a bit differently were reviewing a game console its my favorite console, aside from the dreamcast. any way were discussing if it is a good investment in 2026.
first category is nostalgia if your a newbie or a person recollecting their childhood it will ether bring back memories or make memories and if it just makes a few be thankful because you could have none I mean take the omega cd 32 you would never make memories on that thing (more on that later) so any way I would say yes.
next, controls the controllers are weird not because its complicated but because some games use different sides. see there are 3 prongs you always use 2 but in different orders sometimes its left prong and right prong for 2d games middle prong and right prong for normal games left prong and middle prong for dumb games but most of the games use the normal way and you won’t need to get use to the others so once you get use to the normal ways your good so I say yes.
next, games if there’s one thing to know its the n 64 did not have much variety just 2 RPG’s and not too many 2d platformers mostly just sports games, racing games, and 3d platformers so in this case i leave it up to you to decide yes or no so if you like those up there then say yes if you don’t say no.
here are my top 5 n64 games: 1 donkey kong 64, 2 duck dodgers staring Daffy Duck, 3 snow bored kids, 4 Mario kart 64, 5 a tie between 1080 and Super Mario 64 and nfl blitz.
next, graphics the graphics are medium all of them look exactly the same because stupid Nintendo stuck with cartridges instead of cds like Sony and Sega you get to decide if this is a yes or no.
last but not least multi player, I think the system is still the best system to play with friends. it was 4 players and literally every game is multi player. I mean Evan donkey kong64 is 4 player. my dad took his n64 to college and he’d be playing “Smashies” with 4 players each night. so that proves 2 things; 1 that multi player is a yes, and 2 it really was the “Fun Machine” so I would say that buying an n64 in 2026 is a good investment. see you in the next review.
fun facts
1. what I said about the graphics and that you cant change them was a bit of a lie… 2 years before the console came out they made a thing called the expansion pack it added bunch more ram in general but for some reason no one could see a big difference beside there being a ton more memory either Nintendo was lying or people weren’t looking hard enough. ps it came out in 1998.
2. this is my top 5 favorite for multi player games; 1 more kart 64 , 2 golden eye 007, 3 here’s an obscure one battle tanks global assault, 4 super smash bros, 5 tie between Mario Party 1, 2, or 3 Diddy kong racing or snow bored kids.
3. the omega cd 32 was made by Commodore who at the time made computers but in the early 90s home consoles were getting to be a bit more poplar then computers. the 2 big ones being Panasonic and Commodore they said lets try and make a home video game console because they were afraid they might go bankrupt. they also thought it might make them more money then they needed . so Panasonic made the 3do priced at $700 and this was just 1993 and commodore made the omega cd 32 which came out in 1993 priced

at $300. why the 3do failed was because it was too expensive for every person except the rich people. the mega cd 32 failed because there weren’t many games for it and the games it did have were terrible because the games didn’t even use the 32 bit processor, not like there even was one and in the end both of them went bankrupt because of the very thing they made to prevent them from going bankrupt. how ironic right?

4. back when Mario kart 64 came out there was a bug, there was so much on screen the game wouldn’t let you go 15 feet apart and if you did get away the game would force all the cpus to rubber band back up to you in 5 seconds making it a lot harder without the expansion pack .see in 1998 when it came out it for some reason kinda fixed it made it so you could not be in clumps the whole time but it made the rubber banding a bit worse. by the way I am going try to do fun facts for all my next reviews so those were your fun facts for today. so that’s all I have for you today
p.s. sorry for the delay of reviews I was just busy and when I wasn’t I was watching tv and had a blog to do and when I remembered I’d just say no because its really hard to think of these believe it or not. any way that’s all I have for you this time. bye and see you in the next review (for real this time).
